Security will follow the protocol set by the hospital. Typically, the coordinating nurse and the head of mechanical operations will respond first.
Procedure¶
Evacuate the MRI room and close the doors. This prevents anyone unaware of the danger from entering the room.
Evacuate the UNF area. Participants, visitors, and staff members must leave the premises and move to an unaffected area.
Assist the emergency personnel. Depending on the type of emergency, remain available to help as needed.
Direct responders to the affected area. The UNF team knows the premises better than external responders — guide them as needed.
