The UNF provides researchers with hardware and software. Some equipment must be reserved through the reservation protocol of the various UNF facilities in order to be used.
If a researcher wishes to use personal equipment, they must follow the guidelines outlined in the external equipment section.
Responsibilities and agreements¶
UNF equipment¶
By using the equipment provided by the UNF, the researcher and their group agree to the following terms:
Researchers are responsible for setting up, operating, and returning the equipment to its place, for all equipment needed for their experiments.
UNF staff are available, during working hours, when assistance is needed; however, researchers are responsible for the equipment required for their experiments.
Equipment provided by another research group¶
In order to use equipment shared by a research group, you will be asked, when making the reservation, to add this equipment and to attach a PDF to your request detailing the agreement between you and the research group.
